Demolition Debris Removal across Louisville Metro
Demolition generates a different kind of pile than a normal cleanout — broken drywall, splintered framing lumber, old flooring, roofing material, sometimes brick or block from a partial structure teardown. It's heavier, it comes out fast once a crew starts swinging, and it needs a container that can handle both the weight and the volume without getting overloaded.
We size and deliver dumpsters for demolition work across Jefferson County, whether that's a contractor tearing out interior walls on a renovation, a homeowner taking down a shed or deck, or a small structure coming down entirely. Tell us what's being demolished and roughly how much material you expect, and we'll help you land on a size that keeps the job moving instead of stalling out for a mid-project swap.
At a glance
What you get with demolition debris removal

- Weight capacity matched to the size, not just the box dimensions

Suitability
Is demolition debris removal the right call?
The fastest way to get this right is to check the load against both lists before you book.
Good fits for this container
- Interior wall removal and gut renovations
- Shed, deck, fence, or small outbuilding teardown
- Flooring, drywall, and framing removal on a renovation
- Small structure demolition where the debris needs to move off site as work progresses
Send these somewhere else
- Pure concrete, brick, or block loads — those are typically heavier than mixed demo debris and are better matched to our concrete and heavy debris service
- Hazardous materials uncovered during demolition, such as suspected asbestos in older building materials, which need to be handled by a licensed abatement contractor before the rest of the debris moves

Demolition Debris Removal — the Louisville-area specifics
Demolition work looks different depending on where in Jefferson County it's happening. Renovation crews working in Jeffersontown, Middletown, and other newer-construction areas tend to generate fairly standard framing, drywall, and flooring debris. In Old Louisville and other older neighborhoods, interior demolition more often turns up lath-and-plaster walls, older-era trim and flooring, and sometimes materials from a construction period where lead paint or asbestos need to be ruled out by a licensed contractor before demo debris starts filling a dumpster. On job sites in tighter, older parts of the county we also plan around alley access and street placement permits from Louisville Metro Public Works; out toward the yard's home turf near Aiken Rd and the Snyder Freeway, driveway placement on newer lots is usually straightforward.

Answers
Demolition Debris Removal — your questions answered
Can I mix drywall, framing, and flooring in the same dumpster?
Yes, general mixed demolition debris can go in together. If a load is going to be mostly concrete, brick, or block, that's better suited to our concrete and heavy debris dumpsters because of weight limits.
What size do most interior demo projects need?
A single room usually fits in a 15-yard dumpster; multi-room gut work typically runs 20 to 30 yards. Let us know the scope and we'll size it before delivery.
Do you handle debris from tearing down a shed or garage?
Yes, small structure teardown debris — wood framing, siding, roofing material — is a normal fit for our demolition dumpsters, sized to the structure.
What if demolition turns up something like asbestos or lead paint?
Stop and have it assessed by a licensed contractor before that material goes in any dumpster. This comes up more often in older Louisville homes, including many in Old Louisville, given their construction era.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster on a demolition job site?
Not if it's placed on private property. If the job site requires street or sidewalk placement, a temporary permit from Louisville Metro Public Works' Right of Way Permits office is typically needed.
